THE ROLE
The Account Executive (AE) will contribute to daily account work by managing small projects and contributing to larger projects as directed by project leaders. S/he may supervise account work done by more junior staff. S/he will learn Edelman's various Communications Marketing processes/approaches, including public engagement, message workshops, master narrative assignments, brand engagement, social media campaigns and stakeholder mapping exercises and support account teams in the execution of these processes for clients.
Key Role And Responsibilities
- Collaborating in the development of communication plans tailored to meet client goals.
- Orchestrating traditional and integrated outreach initiatives efficiently.
- Managing multiple projects from inception to fruition, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgets by proactively addressing challenges.
- Nurturing relationships with clients and colleagues across all hierarchical levels.
- Consistently delivering high-caliber internal and external communication materials.
- Contributing to the new business process through idea generation, research, and proposal preparation.
- Pursuing continuous learning and setting ambitious goals for personal and professional growth.
Knowledge & Skills
- Ideally someone with an understanding of public relations and experience working with retail clients.
- Previous client facing experience, including providing tactical counsel.
- Strong project management skills
- Effective time management, and demonstrated ability to work to tight deadlines, whilst managing multiple accounts
- Strong content development skills, and experience drafting press releases, media alerts, bylined articles, features etc
