Job Description

• To manage, monitor and control the branch operation, and meet business targets, in terms revenue and profitability whilst achieving highest level of customer satisfaction
Functional Roles and Responsibilities
• Prospect new clients, attend sales calls, present various products available and negotiate with customers on credit limits and payment terms with a view to develop business and reach sales targets.
• Develop alliances and partnerships within existing clients to create additional sales opportunities and also Identify new business opportunities for continued growth in the region
• Serve existing clients by handling customer queries & meeting their needs. Also handle customer complaints, settle disputes, using discretionary powers, if required in order to ensure customer satisfaction and retention of business.
• Negotiate with various airline companies & tour operators (Suppliers) to obtain special rates / fares that are usually given to all travel agents, in order to generate more business and earn revenues for the company.
• Maintain an up-to-date database on customers/ corporate clients, and frequently mail to them information relating to the latest attractions in holiday packages/ destinations/ new services/ special offers and amendments in visa rules/ regulations, airport information, etc, in order to market services and solicit continued patronage of key customers.
• Support the overall administration of the branch office, its up-keep, maintenance and layout in order to maintain the professional image of Al Tayer Travels.
• Review periodically sales performance, revenue earnings and payments position, and follow-up with accountants and sales staff to collect overdue payments from defaulting customers, with a view to improve the company's revenue position and generate incomes. Monitor and control credit limits on a regular basis.
• Prepare reports for submission to the Travel Manager and to some key clients who give high volume business, for the purpose of reviewing branch performance and scope/ suggestions for improvement

People Management Roles and Responsibilities
• Guide and motivate subordinates to enhance performance and produce quality work, and ensure that they are continuously developed for higher level roles Education/Certification and Continued Education
• Graduate , preferably in Commerce
• Tertiary qualifications with IATA certification

Years of Experience
• 6 to 8 years relevant experience in travel/ tours
