Job Title: Account Manager Commercial Risk

Business Unit: Commercial Risk Solutions

Location: Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia (On-site)

Aon Is Looking for an Account Manager Commercial Risk (Al Khobar)

As part of our Commercial Risk Solutions team in Al Khobar, the Account Manager will serve as the primary liaison between clients and insurers, managing a portfolio of commercial accounts and delivering tailored risk and insurance solutions. This role is responsible for assessing insurance needs, structuring and placing insurance programs, negotiating with insurers, maintaining compliance with Saudi Arabian regulations, and ensuring service excellence in every client interaction.

You will work closely with clients across diverse industries, collaborating with colleagues and insurer partners to deliver high-quality, timely, and cost-effective risk solutions.

What The Day Will Look Like

1. Client Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients, understanding their operations, risk profile, and insurance requirements.
  • Act as the main point of contact for client inquiries, endorsements, claims coordination, policy renewals, and day-to-day servicing.
  • Conduct regular review meetings with clients to discuss coverage adequacy, market developments, and emerging risks.
  • Coordinate with Aon specialty teams (e.g., Property, Casualty, Financial Lines, Specialty Risk) to bring integrated solutions to clients.

2. Placement & Program Structuring

  • Analyze client risk exposures and existing insurance programs; recommend appropriate lines of coverage and program structures.
  • Collaborate with local and international insurers to obtain competitive quotes and favorable terms and conditions.
  • Prepare and present proposal documents, renewal strategies, and comparisons of coverage and pricing.
  • Manage the end-to-end placement process including quotation, binding, policy issuance, endorsements, and renewals.

3. Regulatory & Compliance

  • Ensure all broking and client servicing activities comply with Insurance Authority (IA) / Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) regulations and guidelines.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation, including quotations, slips, binders, policies, endorsements, and correspondence.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes and market developments in the Saudi insurance sector and reflect these in client advice and internal practices.
  • Adhere to Aon's internal compliance, governance, and professional standards.

4. Administration & Operational Excellence

  • Maintain current and accurate client and policy data in Aon systems, ensuring timely updates and data integrity.
  • Coordinate invoicing, premium collection, and account reconciliation in collaboration with finance teams; resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare client-facing reports, summaries of coverage, and stewardship reports as required.
  • Support internal audit, quality assurance, and operational improvement initiatives.

5. Business Development & Growth

  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across Commercial Risk and other Aon solution lines based on client needs.
  • Support new business activities, including prospect research, preparation of proposals, and participation in client meetings and pitches.
  • Participate in marketing and client engagement initiatives such as events, seminars, and workshops in the Eastern Province.
  • Contribute to strengthening Aon's presence and reputation in the local market through professional interactions with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders.

Skills And Experience That Will Lead to Success

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in insurance broking or insurance companies, preferably in commercial lines (e.g., Property, Casualty, Engineering, Marine, Financial Lines).
  • Good understanding of the Saudi insurance market and IA/SAMA regulatory landscape.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical insurance concepts clearly.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
  • Good command of MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and familiarity with CRM or policy administration systems.
