Job Purpose

To lead the development and continuous enhancement of enterprise-wide governance frameworks, ensuring consistent, transparent, and accountable decision-making across the organization. The role drives the implementation of effective governance structures, controls, and practices that support regulatory compliance, strengthen organizational maturity, and enable informed strategic execution.

What you'll do

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of clients across general insurance lines, acting as the primary relationship owner and trusted advisor.
  • Build and maintain strong, long term relationships with key stakeholders across corporate, commercial, and government clients.
  • Oversee the full client insurance portfolio, including property, casualty, engineering, liability, motor, marine, and other general insurance products, ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts through cross sell and upsell initiatives based on clients evolving risk and insurance requirements.
  • Lead strategic account planning, conducting regular portfolio reviews and providing tailored insurance solutions to strengthen client relationships and improve retention.
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams including underwriting, claims, operations, insurers, and customer support to ensure timely policy issuance, renewals, endorsements, and claims resolution.
  • Manage complex client queries and escalations with professionalism, ensuring prompt resolution and a high standard of client experience.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, renewal pipelines, and policy profitability while preparing regular client reports and maintaining accurate account documentation.
  • Mentor and manage one direct report, providing coaching, guidance, and performance support.
  • Stay informed on market trends, regulatory developments, insurer offerings, and competitive activity within the UAE general insurance market to provide clients with informed recommendations.

What we're looking for

  • 6+ years of experience in account management, relationship management, or client servicing within the insurance industry.
  • Strong expertise across a broad range of general insurance products, including property, casualty, motor, marine, engineering, liability, and financial lines.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and credibility with clients and senior decision makers.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities for account growth, cross selling, and upselling.
  • Hands on approach with the ability to balance strategic account planning and day to day portfolio management.
  • Experience leading or mentoring team members is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the UAE general insurance market, regulatory environment, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent negotiation, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to manage complex client situations effectively.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and detail oriented, with strong planning and time management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Professional insurance certifications such as ACII or Cert CII are an advantage.
  • Candidates available immediately or with a notice period of up to one month are strongly preferred.
