We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Manager -Turbomachinery Controls to join our growing team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate brings a strong mechanical or mechatronics engineering background combined with substantial technical sales experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Utilities sectors - specializinginTurbomachinery and Rotating Machinery Controls.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, manage and oversee the Business Unit's sales, marketing, bidding and project execution activities.
- Drive growth of the assigned portfolio across Turbomachinery Controls, Rotating Machinery Controls, Vibration & Condition Monitoring, Actuators, Mechanical Retrofits and Automation.
- Manage and develop team members, principals, vendors and client relationships within the Business Unit.
- Ensure seamless cross-departmental communication and collaboration across all relevant functions.
- Maintain regular client interface; validate sales costing and proposals; follow up proactively to secure orders; participate in technical clarifications and kick-off meetings.
- Develop and execute winning sales strategies for job award, covering cost estimation, technical offer preparation and competitive analysis.
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts and strategic plans to principals and executive management.
- Uphold the quality of all deliverables and after-sales support commitments.
- Identify and pursue new customer acquisition opportunities and market development initiatives.
- Lead commercial negotiations with clients covering pricing, payment terms, discounts and contractual terms & conditions.
- Oversee vendor and contractor registration and qualification with NOC, IOC and EPC clients.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical support teams to produce proposals that address client requirements and conform to quality and product standards and specifications.
Education, Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical , Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years experience in Sales within the Oil, Gas, Petrochem and Utilities with focus on Turbomachinery or Rotating Machinery Controls applications.
- At least 3 years in a Sales Leadership or Business Unit Management role
- Technical background (Turbine Control, Compressor Control, Antisurge Control, Vibration & Condition Monitoring of Rotating Machinery, Actuators and Mechanical Retrofits).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is a strong advantage
- Confident and credible in presenting technical and commercial content to clients and stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting and strategic planning capabilities, with effective time management skills.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, and resilient in the face of challenges, with a keen attention to detail.
- Based in Abu Dhabi with a valid UAE driving license
