POSITION : ACCOUNTANT Accountant for maintaining accurate financial records and preparing associated reporting.
Accountant's role is to support the department by ensuring that all financial records and reporting are up to standard, updated and maintained regularly and also responsible for working with third parties, like other Govt Department, Stakeholders, banks, auditors etc to keep business finances on track.
He will be reporting to the Finance Manager and assisted by team members.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :Accountant position will work closely with Finance Manager and handle day-to-day bookkeeping to maintain accurate, complete and timely information to achieve overall department objective and provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports.
As an Accountant, he has to performs a wide range of responsibilities, these may include, but are not limited to:
1. Manage all accounting transactions
2. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
3. Ensure timely bank payments. Reconciling the company's bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
4. Managing income and expenditure accounts. Generating the company's financial reports using income and expenditure data.
5. Prepare the financial statements in time. Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
6. Prepare budget forecasts
7. Report on the department's financial health and liquidity
8. Liaising with auditors
9. Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
10. Comply with financial policies and regulations
11. Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
12. Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company
13. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
14. Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, other Govt department and stakeholders.
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES :- Knowledge and understanding of Budgeting, Accounting practices and standards with particular reference to Government Department.
- He must be skilled at record-keeping and interacting within and outside the Department and Customers.
- Must be well versed with ERP software and Advanced computer software skills, including MS Office
- Should have strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.
- Great organizational skills, High level of accuracy, efficiency, accountability and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and highly meticulous.
QUALIFICATION :Academic Qualification Should have Bachelor's/ Master's Degree in Accounting/Finance
Professional Qualification CPA / ACCA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification
EXPERIENCE :Age: 35-40 Years
Experience: Post qualification 10 years with minimum 5 years in the similar role preferably in the Department of Govt.
REMUNERATION :Between AED 10-12 K per month (all inclusive) plus expat benefits, depending upon experience.
NATIONALITY : Indian (Candidate based in UAE only)
