Job Summary :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join one of our group companies operating in the maintenance and facility services sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting project accounting activities, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger & Reporting
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal postings, accruals, prepayments & Bank reconciliations.
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules in line with IFRS and company policies.
Project & Cost Accounting Support
- Support project accounting for fit-out and maintenance jobs, including cost allocation and variance analysis.
- Monitor WIP, revenue recognition, and cost tracking for ongoing projects.
Reconciliations & Controls
- Prepare bank, intercompany, and balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Strengthen internal controls and ensure adherence to financial procedures.
Audit & Compliance
- Assist in internal and external audit processes by preparing schedules and documentation.
- Ensure VAT compliance and accurate filing support where required.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance accounting workflows, reporting automation, and ERP utilization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- 46 years of relevant experience in GL accounting (experience in facility management, contracting, or fit-out sectors preferred).
- Strong understanding of IFRS, accrual accounting, and financial reporting frameworks.
- Proficiency in Zoho books and advanced Excel skills.
- Professional certifications (ACCA/CPA/CA part-qualified or completed) are an advantage.
