Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations, including accounting entries, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance with financial policies. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate recording of transactions, timely financial reporting, and support to project and departmental budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions, including journal entries, invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of cash balances.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and follow-up.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Maintain accurate ledgers, supporting documents, and audit-ready records.
- Coordinate with procurement, HR, and project teams for proper cost allocation.
- Verify and process employee expense claims, petty cash, and vendor payments.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal financial policies.
- Assist with external audits by preparing required schedules and documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial information.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience working as an Accountant, preferably in a project-based or construction environment (an advantage but not mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Strong analytical, numerical, and organizational skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
