Job Description

Job Purpose

To manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations, support financial reporting, and maintain accurate financial records in alignment with healthcare/government standards.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Maintain general ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

Payables & Receivables

  • Process vendor invoices and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Coordinate with procurement and operations regarding payment schedules.

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and prepare VAT returns.
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies, MOH/DOH regulations (if hospital), and government financial procedures.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing systems (physical & digital).

Payroll & Expenses

  • Assist in payroll verification and employee expense reimbursement processing.
  • Ensure adherence to WPS and UAE labor law financial requirements.

Financial Analysis & Support

  • Prepare financial reports and variance analysis for management review.
  • Assist in cost monitoring, especially related to medical supplies, procurement, and operational expenses (for hospital setting).
  • Provide financial data and analysis to support decision-making.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • UAE National (Emirati) Family Book required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 25 years of accounting experience (preferably in healthcare, government, or regulated environment).
  • Knowledge of UAE VAT and financial regulations.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS standards.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Knowledge of healthcare/government financial procedures
  • Ability to work under deadlines
  • Strong communication skills (Arabic & English preferred)
  • Integrity and confidentiality in handling financial data

Preferred (For Government Entity Version)

  • Experience working in a semi-government or government organization
  • Knowledge of public sector budgeting and reporting standards
  • Familiarity with procurement and tender financial processes
