Job Purpose
To manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations, support financial reporting, and maintain accurate financial records in alignment with healthcare/government standards.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain general ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Payables & Receivables
- Process vendor invoices and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Coordinate with procurement and operations regarding payment schedules.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and prepare VAT returns.
- Maintain compliance with internal policies, MOH/DOH regulations (if hospital), and government financial procedures.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing systems (physical & digital).
Payroll & Expenses
- Assist in payroll verification and employee expense reimbursement processing.
- Ensure adherence to WPS and UAE labor law financial requirements.
Financial Analysis & Support
- Prepare financial reports and variance analysis for management review.
- Assist in cost monitoring, especially related to medical supplies, procurement, and operational expenses (for hospital setting).
- Provide financial data and analysis to support decision-making.
Qualifications & Requirements
- UAE National (Emirati) Family Book required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 25 years of accounting experience (preferably in healthcare, government, or regulated environment).
- Knowledge of UAE VAT and financial regulations.
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of IFRS standards.
- Proficient in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
