As we scale our global infrastructure, we are looking for a versatile Accountant who can manage our internal books while acting as a critical bridge for our sales and engineering teams.
Position Overview
This is not a back-office only role. At Ecoblox, the Accountant is an integral part of our operational success. You will manage the core financial health of the company while directly enabling our sales team to deploy sustainable data solutions by managing the financial lifecycle of our hardware and service contracts.
Key Responsibilities
Internal Accounting & Financial Integrity
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of assets, liabilities, and expenses related to our modular data center projects.
- Execute month-end and year-end closing procedures with precision.
- Perform regular bank and credit reconciliations.
- Assist with financial reporting that helps leadership track the ROI of our AI services and system integrations.
- Support cash flow analysis and keep it updated on a weekly basis.
- Ensure coordination of work with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (tax, accounting, legal).
- Support with preparation of monthly financial statements, and financial analysis for Management.
Sales Operations & Commercial Support
- Partner with the Sales Team to facilitate complex transactions for global clients.
- Generate and manage Price Quotes, Proforma Invoices, and Official Tax Invoices.
- Ensure accurate tax application for international hardware shipments and cross-border AI service agreements.
- Validate that sales documentation aligns with project milestones and revenue recognition standards.
Full-Cycle AP & AR Management
- Accounts Receivable: Manage the billing cycle for modular data center deployments and recurring AI service subscriptions; proactively manage collections to ensure healthy cash flow.
- Accounts Payable: Oversee payments to our supply chain partners and system integrators; ensure vendor invoices are verified and paid according to terms.
- Resolve any billing discrepancies with vendors or high-value clients.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience: 25 years of experience, preferably in a technology and data center space.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong command of Zoho Books and advanced Excel skills.
- Industry Interest: A passion for sustainability, technology, and the AI/compute industry is a major plus.
- Agility: The ability to move quickly between administrative accounting tasks and fast-moving sales support requests.
