The Accountant is responsible for financial accounting and reporting, preparation of financial statements and records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and banking requirements. The role supports external audits, participates in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and maintains accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Responsibilities:
- Verify and record daily bank and payment transactions
- Review supporting documents, invoices, posting profiles, and financial dimensions
- Ensure accurate processing of payments, cheques, settlements, and exchange rates
- Perform cash verification and reconcile vendor and payable accounts
- Prepare statements of accounts, payable reports, and reconciliation reports
- Verify purchase orders, weekly payment plans, and vendor payments
- Ensure compliance with contracts, tax requirements (WHT), and internal procedures
- Coordinate with vendors and support agreement terminations
- Perform other duties assigned by the Chief Accountant
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in education in economics, accounting or Finance
- At least 1 year of experience as an Accountant with a background in retail industry accounting
- Knowledge of using ERP
