About the Role
We are looking for experienced Qualified Chartered Accountants, or ACCA currently based in the UAE, with hands-on expertise in money exchange.
Job Responsibilities Accountant
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities related to foreign currency exchange transactions
- Record, verify, and reconcile multi-currency transactions and exchange rate differences
- Monitor and account for foreign exchange gains and losses
- Handle daily cash balancing, vault reconciliation, and branch cash controls
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and management summaries
- Ensure accurate bank reconciliations and settlement of forex transactions
- Maintain proper documentation for currency purchases, sales, and transfers
- Ensure compliance with AML, KYC, and regulatory requirements applicable to money exchange businesses
- Coordinate with auditors and regulatory authorities when required
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls related to forex operations
Requirements
- Qualified Chartered Accountant / Qualified ACCA or MBA - Finance
- Accountant in a foreign money exchange, forex, or financial services environment
- Strong knowledge of foreign exchange operations, currency conversion, and rate calculations
- Experience with multi-currency accounting and revaluation
- Familiarity with AML/KYC regulations and compliance procedures
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks) and MS Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle high-volume cash and currency transactions
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
