Job Description

ITXPROS is looking for an Accountant to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. Accountant responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements, and calculating tax payments and returns. Should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes. Experience with accounting software and administration skills. An Accountant will provide us with accurate quantitative information on the financial position, liquidity,y and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we are compliant with all tax regulations. Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and generally accepted accounting procedures.

Accountant JD

An Accountant takes care of all financial matters within a company, like keeping, interpreting, and ensuring financial records, and calculating taxes when filing annual returns.

An Accountant may oversee responsibilities like reconciling bank statements and calculating payroll to keep their company in strong financial standing.

Expert in human relations and communication.

Must have strong communication skills to present detailed information in a manner that is easy to understand.

Collaborate with individual team leaders to retrieve and audit financial records throughout the year.

Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.

Include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.

Reports organization's finances to management and offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.

Preferably to be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Plan and accomplish goals.

Report to a supervisor or manager.

Responsibilities

Make critical financial decisions by collecting, tracking, and correcting the company's finances.

Responsible for financial audits, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring financial records are accurate throughout the year.

Tracking payments to internal and external stakeholders.

Preparing budget forecasts.

Processing tax payments and returns.

Publish financial statements on time.

Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.

Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.

Ensure timely bank payments.

Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.

Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.

Report on the company's financial health and liquidity.

Audit financial transactions and documents.

Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.

Comply with financial policies and regulations.

Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.

Document financial transactions by entering account information.

Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options.

Summarize current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.

Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.

Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions.

Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.

Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.

Provide technical support and advice on management.

Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and generally accepted accounting procedures.

Participate in financial standards setting and in the forecast process.

Provide input into the department's goal-setting process.

Prepare financial statements and produce a budget according to schedule.

Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.

Plan, assign, and review staff's work.

Communicate effectively with clients.

Communicate with Manager and/or Director on work status and client issues that arise.

Requirements and skills

Work experience as an Accountant for a minimum of 3 (Three) years.

Fluent English (Written and Spoken) is a must.

Excellent knowledge of Google Sheets.

Excellent knowledge of accounting programs such as Peachtree, Microsoft

Dynamics AX, and QuickBooks (Prefer QBO).

Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Experience with accounting software and administration skills.

Advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.

Experience with general ledger functions.

Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.

Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree or BSc in Accounting, Finance, or an appropriate field of study, or equivalent work experience.

Knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles.

Experience with creating financial statements.

Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.

Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.

Intermediate understanding of accounting and reporting standards, gaining experience in researching as it relates to accounting issues.
