Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant with 35 years of professional experience to manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support compliance with statutory and internal financial requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with accounting systems, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts, including general ledger entries, journal entries, and reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Perform bank, vendor, and customer reconciliations
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Ensure timely processing of invoices, payments, and receipts
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory regulations
  • Prepare and support audits (internal and external)
  • Handle tax-related filings such as GST/VAT, TDS/Withholding tax, income tax returns, and other statutory compliances (as applicable)
  • Monitor expenses and support cost control initiatives
  • Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and other external stakeholders
  • Maintain proper documentation and accounting record

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 35 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas)
  • Good understanding of taxation and statutory compliance requirements
  • Experience in audit support and reconciliations
