Role Summary:
Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable and Fixed Asset accounting processes, including invoice processing, vendor master maintenance, supplier reconciliations, dispute resolution, asset capitalization, depreciation, transfers and disposals, intercompany accounting, journal entries, accruals, VAT reconciliations, month-end close activities, audit support, open PO/advance reviews, and participation in ERP implementation and finance transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Management & Accounts Payable: Manage supplier invoice processing, vendor master data maintenance, vendor statement reconciliations, and resolution of supplier queries and disputes to ensure accurate records, timely payments, and effective vendor relationships.
- Fixed Asset Accounting & Management: Capitalize and maintain fixed asset records, calculate depreciation, process asset transfers and disposals, conduct physical asset verification, and provide documentation and support for audit requirements.
- Recording & Reconciling Intercompany Charges: Record, reconcile, and validate intercompany transactions and balances across group entities.
- Journal Entry Preparation & Posting: Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation and approvals.
- Accruals & Prepayments: Prepare and maintain accrual and prepayment schedules to ensure accurate period-end financial reporting.
- Month-End & Year-End Close Activities: Support timely financial close activities through reconciliations, adjustments, and reporting.
- Audit Coordination & Support: Provide schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents required for internal and external audits.
- Open PO & Open Advance Review with SCM Team: Review open purchase orders and supplier advances with SCM teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of liabilities.
- Input/Output VAT Reconciliation: Perform VAT reconciliations and support compliance with applicable indirect tax regulations.
- Support Finance Transformation Initiatives: Participate in ERP implementations, system integrations, automation projects, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Finance/Commerce Graduate/MBA-Finance.
- 4 to 7 Years of a similar role experience in the UAE.
- Experience in the hospitality industry is mandatory.
- Exposure to the ERP environment is a must (Oracle, SAP), MS Office, Intermediate competency in MS Excel led automation, good understanding of VAT compliance and Fixed assets accounting processes.
