Accountant

The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage GL Accounting processes, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Handle accruals and prepayments, maintaining compliance with accounting standards.
• Oversee petty cash transactions, recording all expenditures and reconciling balances.
• Manage vendor relationships, including processing payments and resolving any discrepancies.
• Financial analysis, reporting, and data management.
• Provide support for ERP system usage and contribute to system improvements.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Ensure timely bank payments
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
• Report on the company's financial health and liquidity
• Audit financial transactions and documents

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5 years of proven experience in accounting roles in UAE
• Strong understanding of accruals, prepayments, and other accounting principles
• Proficiency in petty cash management and reconciliation
• Experience with vendor management and payment processing
• Ability to handle customer interactions, invoicing, and collection activities
• Advanced skills in Excel for financial analysis and reporting
• Understanding of ERP is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
