Job Description

The Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records, performing accurate bookkeeping, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations. This role involves preparing financial statements, managing accounts, and supporting the organization in achieving its financial goals through meticulous accounting practices.

C. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Record daily transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

Ensure compliance with tax regulations and company policies.

Prepare and file tax returns and manage VAT/GST reporting.

Reconcile bank statements, accounts, and ledgers.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records.

Assist in internal and external audit processes.

Provide documentation and reports as required by auditors.

Analyze expenses and recommend cost-saving measures.

Support the development of internal financial controls.

Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency in financial processes.

D. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

24 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles.

Proficiency in accounting software (SAP) and Microsoft Excel.

Strong understanding of accounting principles.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

Computer proficiency, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), ERP (SAP) is an advantage.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Expertise in resolving discrepancies and ensuring financial accuracy.

Proficient in tools like SAP / MS Excel.

Knowledge of tax laws and financial standards.
