Accountant Payable

Job Summary

XCMG Gulf General Trading FZE is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to manage and control the company's payables, ensure timely vendor payments, and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with UAE regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and verify supplier invoices, expense claims, and payment requests.
• Ensure all invoices are properly approved, coded, and recorded in the accounting system.
• Prepare and execute timely payments to vendors (bank transfer, cheques, etc.).
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations for supplier invoices.
• Assist in audit preparations by providing required AP documentation.
• Maintain proper filing of financial documents as per company policy.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in Accounts Payable or similar accounting role (preferably in trading, construction, or heavy equipment industries).
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and accounting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Good understanding of invoice processing, payment cycles, and reconciliations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in Free Zone companies (JAFZA preferred).

• Knowledge of import/export or logistics-related accounting.

• Experience in ERP systems (SAP,ERP or similar).
