Position Purpose Summary
The role of the accountant is to ensure that transactions relating to foreign OpCos are accurately recorded and reported in the accounting records, in addition to supporting performance reviews and the audit process.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Record transactions related to foreign entities in the ERP system, ensuring that accounting records are accurate and up to date.
- Prepare and issue invoices to foreign entities in a timely manner.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables from foreign entities to ensure prompt settlement of invoices.
- Perform monthly intercompany account reconciliations and address any discrepancies identified.
- Review monthly management reporting submissions received from foreign entities
- Follow up with foreign entities on year-end reporting deliverables, ensuring adherence to deadlines set out in the audit circular.
- Review year-end financial reporting packs submitted by foreign entities to ensure compliance with the Group's financial reporting policies and templates.
- Assist with internal and external audit requirements by providing all necessary supporting documents and clarifications.
- Prepare reports, analyses, and presentations as required by management.
- Develop or enhance financial and management reporting templates for foreign entities.
- Maintain and update comprehensive records and files, including agreements, contracts, key management decisions, correspondence, bank records, HR documentation, and other information related to foreign entities.
- Identify, assess, and report critical matters within foreign entities, including budget adequacy, compliance with local laws and regulations, and significant disputed or outstanding balances.
Education
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is a must. Professional certification is preferred.
Experience
Minimum 3 years of related experience.
