Role Overview

Richmond Properties is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee and strengthen the company's financial operations as the business continues to grow. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing financial reporting, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting leadership with accurate financial insights to guide business decisions.

This role requires a highly organised finance professional with strong technical accounting skills and experience managing accounting functions within a fast-paced business environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and maintain the general ledger
  • Manage profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reporting
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making

Accounts & Controls

  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Monitor company expenses and ensure financial controls are followed
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate financial records
  • Manage payroll coordination and expense reimbursements

Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and tax requirements
  • Manage VAT filings and maintain accurate VAT records
  • Prepare documentation and support external audits
  • Maintain strong internal controls and financial policies

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Support the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for financial improvement

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Improve financial processes, reporting systems, and controls
  • Work closely with leadership to enhance financial planning and operational efficiency

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CA preferred
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally within real estate or a similar industry
  • Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and financial compliance
  • Experience with accounting software and financial reporting systems
  • Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-growing company
