Role Overview
Richmond Properties is seeking an experienced
Senior Accountant to oversee and strengthen the company's financial operations as the business continues to grow. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing financial reporting, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting leadership with accurate financial insights to guide business decisions.
This role requires a highly organised finance professional with strong technical accounting skills and experience managing accounting functions within a fast-paced business environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and maintain the general ledger
- Manage profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reporting
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making
Accounts & Controls
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes
- Monitor company expenses and ensure financial controls are followed
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate financial records
- Manage payroll coordination and expense reimbursements
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and tax requirements
- Manage VAT filings and maintain accurate VAT records
- Prepare documentation and support external audits
- Maintain strong internal controls and financial policies
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts
- Monitor financial performance against budgets
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for financial improvement
Systems & Process Improvement
- Improve financial processes, reporting systems, and controls
- Work closely with leadership to enhance financial planning and operational efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CA preferred
- 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally within real estate or a similar industry
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and financial compliance
- Experience with accounting software and financial reporting systems
- Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-growing company
