Overview/job Brief

The Accountant assists the business by making critical financial decisions by collecting, tracking, correcting, and reporting on the company's finances. They are responsible for financial audits, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring the financial records are accurate throughout the year.

The accountant is a diligent, detailed oriented person with excellent numerical skills

Manage All accounting transactions

Prepare budgets and forecasts

Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings

Providing financial statements

Reconciling accounts payables and receivables

Ensuring timely payments

Compute taxes and prepare tax payments

Managing balance sheet, cash flows, and P&L statements

Report on the company's financial health and liquidity

Reinforce financial data confidentiality and ensure proper filing and recording of all data

Comply with financial policies and regulations

Interpreting financial records and recommending to management cost-saving methods

Core Tasks

Maintain professional and accurate financial data through:

Making and ensuring accurate journal entries in ledger for debited and credited accounts

Tallying cash on hand at the end of each day's shirt and planning bank deposits

Making entries of daily transactions in the books of accounts

Managing accounts payable as per contracts with vendors and suppliers

Preparing budget forecasts for the business

Monitoring and controlling department expense budgets

Manage all transactions including but not limited to, fixed payments, variable expenses and bank deposits

Reconciling accounts payable, receivables and bank statements

Ensure timely payments

Evaluating daily accounting activities, finding and recommending cost-saving methods

Preparing balance sheets, income statements and P&L statements at the end of each month, quarter and year

Handling and ensuring monthly, quarterly and annual closings

Ensuring financial statements are prepared in a timely fashion and reporting financial information to management on a regular basis

Handling, preparation and filing of all tax returns and ensuring compliance

Prepare all required documents in a timely manner for audited financial reports and work closely with auditors to ensure accurate and timely financial auditing and compliance

Preparing and processing Zakat payments

Compile, analyze and present reports on the financial status

Selection Criteria/ A Must Have:

BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree

Min of 6 years previous work experience in the same field

Min of 5 years hands-on experience with ODOO ERP

Extensive experience in preparing financial statements and raise on Qwaim platform

Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures including Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP)

Preparing annual audit requirements

Hands-on experience QWAIM PLATFORM

Hands-on experience with ZATKA

Advanced MS Excel skills

Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills

Excellent numerical and mathematical skills

Good communication skills and detail-oriented
