Position Summary:
An Accounting Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and
maintaining financial and accounting information in the company's databases and
systems. The role supports the accounting team by ensuring all financial records are
complete, organized, and error-free.
Key Responsibilities
Enter invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial documents into accounting
software.
Verify the accuracy of data before entering it into the system.
Reconcile data discrepancies and report inconsistencies to the accounting team.
Maintain digital and physical filing systems for financial records.
Assist with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) data preparation.
Update spreadsheets, ledgers, and financial reports as required.
Perform routine audits of data for quality control.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
Communicate with vendors or internal departments to obtain missing information.
Protect confidential financial information and follow company policies.
Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial terminology.
Proficiency with accounting software (Odoo software).
Strong typing and data entry skills.
Good organizational and time-management abilities.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
