multicultural core team, Waada focuses exclusively on fully Sharia-compliant life and health insurance
products. The company aims to launch its first policies by the end of 2025, with 2026 marking its first full
year of growth in the Kingdom.
We're looking for an Accounting Lead to join our finance team in Riyadh.It's a hands-on role that involves
managing end-to-end accounting operations, reconciliations, and compliance while working directly with our CEO, global board members, and industry experts shaping the future of insurance and finance in the region.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accuracy of all financial records.
- Manage and reconcile data between cloud-based ERP systems and accounting platforms.
- Lead monthly and quarterly reconciliations across insurers, reinsurers, distribution partners, and asset managers.
- Supervise payroll processing, partner commissions, and incentive accounting.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with the Insurance Authority, ZATCA, and related statutory bodies.
- Support the CFO in preparing management accounts, board presentations, and performance reports.
- Liaise with external auditors and ensure timely completion of statutory audits.
- Maintain internal controls and ensure integrity of financial data and processes.
Experience:
- Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAP), Karachi - only certified members are eligible.
- Minimum 35 years of post-qualification experience.
- Audit experience with one of the Big Four firms (Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, or EY).
- Industry exposure beyond audit, preferably within the insurance or financial services.
Job Requirements:
- This is a full-time, on-site position based in Riyadh, KSA.
- Candidates must currently be residing in Riyadh with a transferable Iqama.
