Role Description
Accounting Leadership & Operations
- Oversee the full accounting cycle for both retail branches and factory operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, inventory valuation.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with Egyptian Accounting Standards and IFRS where applicable.
- Supervise the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain robust internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
Financial Management & Planning
- Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis for retail and manufacturing divisions.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and cost control initiatives, providing recommendations to optimize profitability.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including product costing, pricing strategies, and profitability assessment for retail and factory lines.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities, ensuring timely submission of tax returns (VAT, payroll tax, corporate tax) and full compliance with regulatory requirements.
Retail & Factory-Specific Responsibilities
- Oversee inventory accounting, including regular stock reconciliation, valuation, and reporting for retail stores and factory raw materials/finished goods.
- Manage cost accounting for the textile factory (material consumption, labor, overhead allocation) and retail margin analysis.
- Prepare management reports on retail performance (sales, margins, shrinkage) and factory production costs.
- Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to align financial processes with business objectives.
Qualifications
- proven experience in Retail industry is a plus
- Experience in supervisory or managerial roles is beneficial
- Proficiency in using Odoo System
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Experience with Journal Entries (Accounting) and Finance management
- Knowledge of Fixed Assets accounting
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional accounting certification
