The Company
Globe 24-7 in partnership with a key mining client are working together to source an experienced and qualified Accounting Officer.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, record, and reconcile all drilling-related expenses, including contractor costs, equipment hire, consumables, and labor.
- Prepare and submit timely financial reports, including cost tracking, variance analysis, and budget performance for drilling operations.
- Collaborate with drilling supervisors, engineers, and procurement teams to verify invoices and ensure accurate cost allocation.
- Maintain and update drilling budgets, forecasts, and expenditure records.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and audits related to drilling activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 35 years of accounting experience, preferably in mining, oil & gas, or industrial operations.
- Familiarity with project accounting, cost tracking, and budgeting processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with operational and finance teams.
- Knowledge of mining operations and drilling processes is an advantage.
