Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records across all business units.
The ideal candidate must have strong experience with Oracle or NetSuite ERP and solid knowledge of IFRS standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting Operations:
- Supervise and review daily accounting transactions within the ERP system.
- Review journal entries and ensure their accuracy and proper linkage to supporting documentation.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manage the monthly accounting close process and prepare the necessary reconciliations and adjustments.
- Ensure that accounting records comply with IFRS-aligned accounting policies.
- review and approve monthly bank reconciliations.
2. Accounts Receivable & Payable Management:
- Monitor customer balances and verify the accuracy of invoices and collections.
- Ensure accounts receivable are updated on a continuous basis and reconciled with sales reports.
- Review supplier invoices and verify alignment with contracts and purchase orders.
- Perform periodic reconciliations for vendor accounts and customer statements.
- Prepare aging analysis reports and propose solutions to address delays in collections or payments.
3. Project Financial Supervision:
- Track and analyses project costs and compare them against approved budgets.
- Prepare profit analysis reports for each project (revenue vs. cost).
- Coordinate with operations and technical teams to ensure accurate cost allocation.
- Review project-related expenses, purchase orders, and supporting documentation prior to approval.
4. Financial Reporting and Data Management
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data entered into the ERP accounting system.
- Assist management with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
5. Compliance & Internal Controls:
- Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and IFRS standards.
- Maintain organized documentation and proper filing of financial records.
- Support internal and external audit processes and provide required documentation.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen financial controls.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 37 years of experience in accounting or financial supervision.
- Experience with Oracle or NetSuite ERP is REQUIRED.
- Strong knowledge of AR/AP, reconciliations, and project costing.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- SOCPA membership (valid/active) is REQUIRED.
