Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts & Finance Executive to support the day-to-day finance operations of the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for accounts payable, treasury functions, financial reconciliations, asset management, project costing and audit support. This role requires strong analytical skills, a hands-on attitude and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process staff, travel, and management expense claims accurately and within the required timelines.
  • Manage Accounts Payable activities, including invoice processing, payment voucher preparation, vendor payments, and the reversal or clearance of advance payments.
  • Handle treasury-related matters, including weekly and month-end GIRO payments, Letters of Credit, and Bank Guarantees.
  • Assist in monitoring foreign currency exposures, exchange-rate movements, and foreign exchange gains or losses.
  • Coordinate with banks and internal stakeholders on foreign currency payments, remittances, and other treasury transactions.
  • Participate in and support bi-annual stock count exercises, including reconciliation and follow-up on stock variances.
  • Assist with year-end audit preparation and liaise with internal and external auditors as required.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and investigate any outstanding or unreconciled items.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly prepayment schedules and ensure expenses are recognized in the appropriate accounting periods.
  • Assist with project costing, budget monitoring, cost allocation, and variance analysis to support business and project operations.
  • Support month-end closing activities and ensure assigned schedules and reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documentation in accordance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal control requirements.
  • Perform other finance-related duties and ad hoc assignments as required.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience in finance, accounting, or a similar field.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and willing to take a hands-on approach to work.
  • Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • A team player with strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work.
  • Exposure to international transactions, multi-currency accounting, or project-based businesses would be an advantage.
