Job Description

We are seeking an experienced aviation leader to take on a senior in-country role responsible for establishing and leading ADA's Air Taxi operations in Egypt.

Purpose of the Role:

The ADA Country Manager – Egypt serves as the senior company representative in-country, responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient helicopter operations.

The role is accountable for establishing ADA's Air Operator Certificate (AOC) in Egypt and ensuring full alignment with Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority (ECAA) requirements, ICAO standards, and corporate safety and operational frameworks. This position acts as the key liaison between ADA, regulatory authorities, commercial partners, and internal aviation functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all in-country aviation operations, technical, and administrative activities
  • Oversee flight operations planning, execution, and mission readiness
  • Ensure aircraft availability, operational continuity, and airworthiness
  • Coordinate closely with Flight Operations, Part 145 Engineering, CAMO, Safety, and Logistics
  • Represent ADA with the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority (ECAA) and government entities
  • Obtain and maintain all operational permits, approvals, and certifications
  • Manage in-country stakeholders, partners, vendors, and SLAs
  • Lead base personnel including pilots, engineers, and operational teams
  • Champion safety culture, SMS compliance, and regulatory adherence
  • Lead incident response and crisis coordination in collaboration with HQ teams
  • Ensure compliance with internal audit, safety, and quality frameworks

Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Minimum 10 years of aviation operations experience (rotary-wing preferred)
  • At least 3 years in base/station or operational leadership roles
  • Strong exposure to MENA aviation operations (Egypt experience preferred)
  • Proven experience engaging with civil aviation authorities and regulators
  • Background in managing integrated flight, engineering, and maintenance operations
  • Previous experience as a Post Holder or Accountable Manager (highly desirable)
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Aviation safety, operations, or regulatory certifications (advantageous)
  • EASA / GCAA / FAA qualifications (beneficial but not mandatory)
