Adjunct Faculty of Integrative Design

Job Purpose

Rochester Institute of Technology Dubai invites applicants to apply for an Adjunct Faculty position to teach in the Master of Science in Integrative Design program. We are seeking candidates with expertise in design research methods, interdisciplinary design practices, innovation and entrepreneurship. Ideal candidates will be able to integrate design research principles and methods across disciplines and guide graduate students in developing research-informed, interdisciplinary projects. Candidates should bring diverse perspectives and experiences that contribute to a broader understanding of design and how contemporary social, technological, environmental, and professional contexts shape design research and practice. Experience in interdisciplinary, research-led, innovation, or industry-engaged projects is expected.

· MFA, PhD, or equivalent terminal degree in a Design discipline.

· Demonstrated knowledge and experience in design research methods and practices.

· Demonstrated experience in interdisciplinary design projects and innovation.

· Ability to guide graduate students form different backgrounds in developing research-informed design and innovation projects.

· University-level teaching experience, preferably at graduate level.

· Relevant professional or research experience.

· Knowledge of contemporary and emerging design practices and technologies, including AI in design research and practice, and an ability to contribute meaningfully to RIT Dubai's commitment to cultural diversity, pluralism, and individual differences.
