Job Description

Lavita Landscape Business is a well-established and growing firm specializing in luxury landscape design and execution. We are seeking a versatile and highly organized Admin Cum Accountant to manage the critical intersection of financial record-keeping, administrative support, and HR functions within our Dubai office. This role is vital for maintaining smooth daily operations and financial compliance.

This dual-function role requires a candidate with strong foundational accounting knowledge, proven administrative competence, and familiarity with UAE labour and financial regulations. You will be responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping, office administration, and initial HR coordination.

Requirements

1. Accounting & Finance
  • Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including processing accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), and daily journal entries using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or similar).

  • Payroll: Manage the monthly payroll process (WPS compliant) for all staff, ensuring accurate deductions and timely salary transfers.

  • Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and ledger reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data.

  • Compliance: Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and ensure all transactions comply with UAE financial regulations.

  • Reporting: Generate basic financial reports (e.g., P&L, balance sheet summaries) for management review.

2. Administration & HR Support
  • Office Management: Oversee general office administration, including managing supplies, maintaining office equipment, and handling incoming/outgoing correspondence.

  • Documentation: Organize and maintain physical and digital filing systems for contracts, invoices, expenses, and official company documents.

  • HR Coordination: Manage employee records, assist with the onboarding/offboarding process, and handle coordination related to visas, labour cards, and medical insurance renewal in collaboration with PRO services.

  • Communication: Handle professional communication with vendors, suppliers, and clients regarding invoices and payments.

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Admin/Accounts dual role in the UAE, preferably within the construction, engineering, or service industry.

  • Accounting Proficiency: Proven working knowledge of standard accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).

  • Software Proficiency:

    • Expert proficiency in an accounting software package (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally ERP).

    • High proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.

  • UAE Regulation Knowledge: Familiarity with UAE VAT regulations and the Wage Protection System (WPS) for payroll.

  • Language: Excellent command of written and spoken English.
