Job Purpose
To efficiently execute put-away, picking, and packing processes for both inbound and outbound operations, ensuring safety. The warehousing and distribution support provided to the customer includes effectively managing all inbound and outbound operations within specified time frames. The primary objectives are to maximize profitability, maintain high-quality standards, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Tasks
- Manage inbound shipments by receiving prealerts/documents, updating Inbound POs in WMS, and coordinating promptly with the Floor InCharge.
- Verify received goods by checking quantities against tally sheets and recording any missing or damaged items through Material Discrepancy Notes (MDNs).
- Store goods appropriately based on item type/size or as directed by WMS, FIC, or Supervisor.
- Generate and share GRSR along with MDNs and pictures of discrepancies, then close the Inbound PO and update all inbound details in trackers and WMS.
- Process outbound orders by updating WMS, allocating orders, picking, packing, QCchecking items, and recording all information accurately.
- Move and dispatch goods by transporting picked items to dispatch areas, updating pick sheets/dispatch notes, and recording final outbound details in WMS and trackers.
- Maintain communication with Warehouse Operations and customers on shipment status, ensuring PODs and customerspecific SWI/SOP requirements are met.
- Support operational quality by isolating/reporting damaged goods, performing housekeeping, attending PD meetings, and participating in cycle counts.
- Generate reports for inbound/outbound activities with accurate timestamps and assist with any additional reporting required by Supervisors or customers.
- Ensure compliance & improvement by following DHL policies, maintaining good teamwork, escalating issues where necessary, and driving continuous process improvements to meet KPIs.
Qualifications & Key Requirements
- Knowledge of Warehousing and Goods Storage/ Handling Practices.
- Expertise in Warehouse Management Systems.
- College Degree or Secondary School Certificate
- Having a Forklift License is a plus
Experience Level
- Minimum 1 Year Experience in Freight Forwarding, Supply Chain, Warehousing or distribution operations is desirable.
