Schneider Electric is seeking a multi-skilled ADMS Engineer with a strong quantitative and technical background to join our DCC (Distribution Control Center) project team.
The successful candidate is responsible for performing point To point test , building and maintaining a non-production and (Later production ) environment that replicates the functionalities of the EcoStruxure ADMS production system.
This environment enables functional testing, integration, and limited performance validation before deployment.
The Engineer ensures proper configuration of all ADMS components—including SCADA, Real-Time, FEPs, Historian, Simulation, Integration Adapters, RCS, Staging, Web Server, and Data Concentrator—while optimizing resources and supporting project teams throughout the development lifecycle. The role also involves implementing Network Simulation Service (NSS) for realistic signal emulation, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver a stable and efficient testing platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform Point-to-Point (P2P) testing to validate end-to-end communication and functionality between ADMS components and simulated field devices, including telemetry, status indications, and control commands.
Support functional testing, configuration validation, and limited performance testing within the PDS environment.
Implement Network Simulation Service (NSS) to emulate field device signals for realistic testing scenarios.
Set up and configure the Program Development System (PDS) environment to replicate production functionalities using reduced hardware resources.
Deploy all required ADMS components: SCADA, Real-Time, FEPs, Historian, Simulation, Integration Adapters, RCS, Staging, Web Server, and Data Concentrator
Monitor system health and troubleshoot technical issues.
Apply patches, upgrades, and configuration changes as required.
Maintain detailed documentation of environment setup and operational procedures.
Support the integration of GIS data with ADMS systems and ensure alignment with project goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics ).
Minimum of 3 years experience in ADMS,SCADA, Historian, FEPs, Simulation, etc. software implementation projects.
Familiarity with integration adapters and protocols such as DNP3, IEC 60870-5-104, and ICCP/TASE.2.
Proficiency in Windows Server, virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), and basic networking.
Experience working in an Electrical Utility Industry and/or in a control room real time operation environment is preferred.
Knowledge of electrical transmission, distribution systems, and distribution electrical equipment.
Knowledge of Network Simulation Service (NSS) or similar simulation tools.
Previously Perform Point-to-Point (P2P) test stage using PDS for RTUs , SRMUs , field devices Equipment's.
Experience working in large-scale utility or infrastructure Electrical projects.
Familiarity with Schneider Electric's Software and platforms .
Experience with EcoStruxure ADMS deployment and configuration.
Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices for utility systems.
Knowledge of cloud or hybrid environments for ADMS.
