After Sales Service Specialist

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced After Sales Service Representative to join our Power Division team. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong foundation in engineering sales, deep understanding of large diesel/gas engines and power systems, and a passion for building longterm customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Commercial Activities

  • Generate service sales opportunities across assigned territories and customer segments.
  • Prepare technical and commercial quotations, proposals, and service packages.
  • Convert incoming enquiries into successful sales by providing accurate, timely solutions.
  • Meet and exceed assigned sales and revenue targets.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain longterm partnerships with customers, dealers, and key stakeholders.
  • Identify customer needs and proactively recommend service products, upgrades, or long-term agreements.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by understanding customer operations, engine applications, and lifecycle requirements.

Technical Understanding

  • Support customers with technical clarification related to diesel engines, gas engines, propulsion systems, gensets, and hybrid systems.
  • Understand MTU product lines and service portfolio to provide the right solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal service, engineering, and parts teams to ensure seamless delivery.

Reporting & Coordination

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions.
  • Provide market insights, competitor information, and customer feedback to support business growth.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or relevant technical discipline).

3-5 years experience in engineering sales, aftermarket sales, or product support within:

  • Diesel engines
  • Gas engines
  • Gensets / power generation
  • Marine propulsion systems
  • Industrial power equipment

Experience working with or selling for major engine OEMs such as MTU, Cummins, Caterpillar, Volvo Penta, MAN, Yanmar, Perkins, etc.

Strong customer service mindset with proven ability to manage relationships and close deals.

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to understand technical specifications, system configurations, and service requirements.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Proficient in MS Office
