Position Title: Agency Planner (MP)
Job Objective
To support the Supervisor Agency Operations in overseeing all agency activities at the port, including berthing/un-berthing, customs clearance, and cargo loading/discharging operations, ensuring smooth, safe, and compliant processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise loading and discharging operations of agency cargo vessels in line with company standards and policies.
- Arrange berthing and un-berthing schedules for vessels.
- Monitor vessel operations to ensure timely and safe completion of activities.
- Handle port clearance and immigration procedures for agency vessels.
- Prepare and submit reports related to loading and discharging operations.
- Coordinate with vessel Masters/Chief Officers and ensure smooth communication during operations.
- Manage all documentation such as manifest reporting, vessel clearance, departure reports, and ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security) requirements.
- Maintain positive working relationships with port authorities, customs, immigration, and other regulatory bodies.
- Ensure high-quality customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
- Comply with all HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards and company policies.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: High School Certificate (Diploma or higher qualification preferred)
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in the maritime, logistics, or oil & gas sector
Knowledge
- Basic understanding of shipping operations and cargo handling
- Familiarity with local and international shipping laws and regulations
- Understanding of government procedures and port operations
Skills Required
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook
- English language proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
