AI Accounting Manager

Rewaa's AI Accountant automates bookkeeping for the SMEs that run their business on Rewaa: it turns their sales, inventory, and bank data into complete, VAT-ready books inside the platform. Behind it is a team of accounting specialists who review AI-generated accounting outputs, resolve exceptions, and continuously improve the product's accounting logic and automation.

You will run this operation end to end: the specialists, the review workflow, the quality standard, the improvement loop with Product and Engineering, and the numbers behind all of it. The team sits in Riyadh and Cairo and is growing.

This is a builder's role. You are hired to raise how much the product handles on its own, keep accuracy high while it does, and prove both in the data.

What you'll own:

• Data quality. The review standard for AI-generated entries, the exception process for anything the AI cannot classify with confidence, and the error tracking behind both.
• The improvement loop. Every correction the team makes is labeled, analyzed, and fed back to Product and Engineering. You decide what the product should handle on its own next, and specify it.
• Accounting logic in the product. Chart of accounts templates, VAT treatments, and posting rules stay correct and aligned with Saudi accounting standards and ZATCA requirements. You are the product's accounting domain authority.
• The operating model. Workflows, SOPs, checklists, and escalation paths, applied the same way in Riyadh, Cairo and Jordan.
• Merchant onboarding. Getting new merchants set up on the product correctly and quickly, together with Sales and Customer Success.
• The team. Hiring plan and ramp, the performance and incentive framework, reviews, coaching, and exits.
• Automation. Find manual, repetitive review work and remove it. Freed time becomes more merchants covered, not idle time.
• The numbers. Dashboards on accuracy, review throughput, exception rates, and automation gains, with a monthly read-out to leadership.

Must have:

• Ran a high-volume accounting or bookkeeping operation (outsourced accounting, shared services, or an accounting-software or fintech company) and built its SOPs and quality control.
• Deep, current knowledge of Saudi VAT, ZATCA e-invoicing, and Saudi accounting practice.
• Led an accounting team for 3+ years, including people in another country.
• Hands-on with AI tools and data: uses AI assistants daily to build workflows and tools, lives in dashboards, reads basic SQL.
• Fluent Arabic and English.
• Degree in Accounting or Finance.

Nice to have:

• SOCPA, CPA, ACCA, or CMA.
• Worked in an accounting-software or fintech product team, or on quality assurance of AI or ML outputs.
• Knows retail, F&B, and services SMEs.

Not a fit if:

• You want to run an accounting firm. This is a software company; the team's job is data accuracy and model improvement, not accounting services.
• You manage by policy and other people's reports rather than by looking at the data yourself.
• You want a remote leadership role. This one is in Riyadh, in the office, with a team that is partly elsewhere.
