About the Role
Ostoul Capital Group is looking for an AI & Automation Engineer to work closely with our leadership team on a range of AI, automation, data, and internal technology initiatives.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys using modern AI tools to solve real business problems. You will work across different departments to identify manual processes, build automations, develop AI-powered tools, analyse data, and rapidly prototype new solutions.
We are not looking for someone who only understands AI theoretically. We want someone who is comfortable building things, experimenting with new tools, working independently, and using AI-assisted development tools to move quickly.
What You'll Work On
Your work may include:
- Automating repetitive business and operational processes.
- Building internal AI-powered tools and applications.
- Using AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Claude Cowork to rapidly develop and improve solutions.
- Developing Python scripts, integrations, APIs, and automation workflows.
- Working with structured and unstructured business data.
- Querying and manipulating data using SQL.
- Connecting different internal systems and external APIs.
- Building AI workflows using LLMs and other AI services.
- Creating prototypes and proof-of-concepts for new AI initiatives.
- Supporting reporting, analytics, and management dashboards.
- Working with different departments to understand problems and turn them into practical technology solutions.
- Researching and testing new AI tools that could improve productivity across the company.
What We're Looking For
Required
- 1–2 years of relevant professional.
- Strong practical experience with modern AI tools and LLMs.
- Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools, particularly Claude Code.
- Experience or strong familiarity with Claude Cowork or similar agentic AI tools.
- Good working knowledge of Python.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL.
- Ability to work with APIs, JSON, databases, and third-party services.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to turn loosely defined business requirements into working solutions.
- Comfortable learning unfamiliar technologies quickly.
- Ability to work independently without needing detailed technical instructions for every task.
Strong Plus
Experience with any of the following would be valuable:
- Power BI or other business intelligence tools.
- Experience with Power Automate Desktop.
- Data analytics and data visualisation.
- Front-end development such as React, JavaScript, HTML/CSS or similar technologies.
- Workflow automation platforms such as n8n, Make, Zapier or Power Automate.
- AI APIs such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini or similar platforms.
- Building AI agents or multi-step AI workflows.
- Data extraction, document processing, OCR or intelligent document automation.
- Git/GitHub and basic software development practices.
- Working with financial services, fintech, brokerage or investment-related systems.

- Uses AI tools every day rather than occasionally.
- Likes figuring things out rather than waiting for detailed instructions.
- Can go from an idea to a working prototype quickly.
- Is equally comfortable looking at a business process, writing Python, querying a database, and testing an AI model.
- Constantly experiments with new AI products and development tools.
- Understands that AI and automation often work together rather than as separate disciplines.
- Is interested in applying AI to real operational problems rather than only building demos.
