Role Description The AI & Automation Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing AI and automation solutions that optimize retail operations, enhance customer experience, and support data-driven decision-making. Day-to-day tasks include assessing business processes, identifying automation opportunities, and collaborating with IT, operations, marketing, and merchandising teams to integrate AI tools into existing systems. The role involves overseeing deployment and maintenance of automation workflows, monitoring performance, and refining models and scripts to improve efficiency and accuracy. The AI & Automation Manager will also develop documentation and best practices, train stakeholders on new tools, and stay current with emerging AI and retail technologies to recommend strategic initiatives.

We're Hiring | AI & Automation Manager

Fashion International Group (FIG) is looking for a hands-on AI & Automation Manager to lead the development, implementation, and management of AI solutions, business automation, and e-commerce technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and develop e-commerce backend systems using Google Cloud Platform.
Design, deploy, and maintain automation workflows using n8n.
Identify and implement AI and automation solutions across business departments.
Deploy and manage local AI models and integrate LLMs into business processes.
Ensure data security, AI governance, and cloud infrastructure performance.
Manage technical integrations, cloud costs, and external technology vendors.

Requirements:

5+ years of full-stack development experience, including 2+ years leading technology initiatives.
Strong Python programming skills.
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, n8n, and API integrations.
Proven experience deploying AI solutions and automation workflows in production.
Experience with LLMs, local AI models, Docker, and GitHub.
Understanding of retail, e-commerce, and marketplace operations.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Fluent in English and Arabic.
