Role
Our Big 4 consulting client is seeking an experienced and commercially focused AI Lead to drive the strategic development and execution of AI initiatives for enterprise and government-sector clients across the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the AI vision and roadmap, leading a team of AI Engineers, and delivering innovative AI and Generative AI solutions that enable digital transformation and business value.
This role combines strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on technical delivery, requiring an individual who can bridge business objectives with cutting-edge AI capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
AI Strategy & Roadmap Development
- Define, develop, and own the AI strategy and roadmap aligned with client business objectives and digital transformation goals.
- Identify and prioritize AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI use cases with measurable business impact.
- Establish delivery plans, governance frameworks, success metrics, and implementation timelines.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies, platforms, and market trends to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
- Provide strategic recommendations to senior client stakeholders on AI adoption and scaling.
Team Leadership & Technical Oversight
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of AI Engineers, Data Scientists, and Machine Learning Engineers.
- Drive technical excellence through architectural guidance, solution reviews, and best-practice implementation.
- Support capability development and knowledge sharing across the AI team.
- Ensure high-quality delivery across multiple AI initiatives and workstreams.
AI Solution Delivery
- Oversee the design, development, deployment, and optimization of AI and Generative AI solutions.
- Lead the implementation of Large Language Models (LLMs), predictive analytics, machine learning models, intelligent automation, and Copilot solutions.
- Collaborate with data, engineering, product, and business teams to transform requirements into scalable AI solutions.
- Ensure solutions adhere to security, governance, compliance, and Responsible AI standards.
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Partner with senior executives, business leaders, and technology stakeholders to identify AI opportunities and define business cases.
- Present AI strategies, roadmaps, solution designs, and project updates to executive audiences.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients on AI transformation, implementation approaches, and operating models.
- Support business development activities, proposals, and client workshops where required.
Project Delivery & Governance
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of AI projects, ensuring successful delivery within agreed timelines and objectives.
- Monitor project risks, dependencies, and performance metrics.
- Establish and track KPIs to measure adoption, effectiveness, and business outcomes of AI initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement across AI delivery processes and methodologies.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or Advanced Analytics.
- Proven experience leading AI teams and delivering enterprise-scale AI programs.
- Demonstrated experience creating and executing AI roadmaps and transformation strategies.
- Strong expertise in Generative AI, LLMs, NLP, Machine Learning, and AI solution architecture.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Excellent stakeholder management, consulting, and presentation skills.
- Experience working within a consulting environment or delivering projects for large enterprise clients.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience within a Big 4 consulting firm or a leading technology consulting organisation.
- Experience delivering AI solutions for government, public sector, financial services, energy, or large enterprise clients.
- Expertise in Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI Services, and enterprise AI governance frameworks.
- Knowledge of MLOps, Responsible AI, and AI operating models.
