Role Purpose
The AI Principal Engineeris responsible forthedevelopment of AI solutions as required by companyprogrammes.
The incumbent is skilled in different AI domains such as but not limited to ML/DL, CV and NLP, design techniques, processes, and methodsinclusive ofhardware,firmwareand related software.
Provide comprehensive smart solutions to complex system/subsystems in alignment with HALCON objectives. Shall be also responsible for the establishment and continued growth of AI development capability.
Key responsibilities
- Expertiseindeveloping,implementingand deploying different robust AI solutions using some techniques such as ML/DL, NLP, CV and other to improve products,servicesand existing systems/sub-systems.
- Expertiseindeveloping,implementingand deploying real-time CV algorithms and DL models for video analytics and auto-tracking.
- Expertisein developing robust AI solutions that are scalable for manufacturing and practical for real-world application and production environments.
- Expertiseinanalysingvideo streams from various sources including cameras, sensors, and drones to extract relevant information for actionable insights and deployment incutting-edgetechnologies.
- Advanced Knowledge in the selection, use and application of AI software and hardware.
- Advanced Knowledge in integration of AI solutions into the existing systems/sub-systems, automate processesmaintainreliability and scalability.
- Expertisein technical consultant on AImethodologyand related software certification requirements
- Mentoring and training of junior technical personnel.
- Strategize with cross-functional teams to unearth and tackle intricate challenges using AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, advanced predictivemodelsand others.
- Creates codes and coding procedures to achieve implementation of AI solutions.
- Expertisein writing technical and non-technicalddocumentsand present findings and results to internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in research and development activities to stayup to datewith the latest developments in the different AI fields.
- Generation of risk/progress reports,presentationsand initiate proposals of mitigation action.
Experience
Knowledge/Qualification
15+ years of applicable experience in deploying smart AI solutions, ML/DL, and CV in thedefensesector.
Exposure to NLP, robotics, expert systems, sensor fusion, predictiveanalyticsand automation.
Preferable: PhD degree ormaster's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Advanced experience with programming and software engineering, AI tools,frameworksandmethodology. Advanced experience with edge computing and computational
power optimization. Training/qualifications in AI-related technologies will be an advantage.
