Job Description

KEY ACTIVITIES

Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and creatively driven AI Video Editor to join the team. This is not a traditional editing role—it sits at the intersection of editorial craft, creative strategy, and emerging AI-powered production.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned video editor who has evolved their practice to integrate AI tools into every stage of the workflow, from concept development to final delivery.

As part of the digital marketing team, you will work closely with creative, communications, and production teams to translate complex ideas and strategic briefs into compelling visual stories across multiple platforms and formats.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Development & Pre-Production

  • Translate incoming briefs from communications and marketing teams into clear visual concepts and narratives
  • Develop storyboards, shot lists, and contribute to visual language, pacing, and tone
  • Act as a creative partner to the shoot team, providing input on framing, coverage, and edit requirements
  • Contribute proactively to the creative process rather than acting as a passive recipient of footage

Production Collaboration

  • Work alongside videographers and directors during shoot phases
  • Advise on coverage, continuity, and creative approach
  • Bridge the gap between shoot strategy and post-production requirements
  • Ensure the right material is captured efficiently for editing

Post-Production & Editing

  • Execute all aspects of editing including assembly cuts, picture lock, color grading, and audio mixing
  • Integrate motion graphics (including AI-assisted tools) and deliver final outputs across formats
  • Apply strong editorial judgment in storytelling, pacing, and rhythm

AI-Augmented Workflow

  • Incorporate AI-powered tools into the production pipeline to improve efficiency, quality, and creativity
  • Use AI for tasks such as:
  • Automated rough cuts and assembly edits
  • Upscaling and frame interpolation
  • Generative visual elements and background creation
  • Rotoscoping and masking
  • Voiceover synthesis
  • Subtitle and transcription generation
  • Music and sound design selection
  • Demonstrate practical fluency in applying AI tools responsibly within a professional production environment

Asset Management & Output

  • Maintain organised project files, version control, and asset libraries
  • Deliver final outputs optimized for multiple platforms including social media, broadcast, web, live events, and internal communications
