Job Description

Position Objective:

To insure the compliance of the production program for the ASP & Gases Plants and insure supplying Oxygen, Nitrogen, Diesel, LPG & Compressed Air with the required quantity and quality by the Melt shop, HRMC, and HRMD following the established regulations for safety, quality, cost, ..etc. and optimizing the available resources.

Reports to:

• Utilities Section Head

Supervises directly to:

• Utilities Day Shift Foreman

• ASP & Gases Foreman

• ASP & Gases Technicians

Function:

• Monitor the Air Separation process and insuring the producing of Oxygen and Nitrogen with the desired quantity and purity

• Monitor the Melt shop Oxygen and Nitrogen consumptions

• Supporting all technicians who report to me technically.

• Verifying the condition of equipment.

• Verifying the status and operating conditions of the Fuel, LPG and Compressed Air plants.

• Verifying the maintenance on the LF and Tundish preheaters and dryers.

• Verifying the maintenance on the Nitrogen Stirring Unit and the valve train.

• Calculating the crude oil and LPG consumptions

• Verifies the assistance to work of all ASP & Gases plants personnel

• Verifies the condition of the equipments

• Insure the Quantity and Purity of Oxygen and Nitrogen

• Gives technical support during contingency and emergency situations to prevent damaging the equipment

• Maintain a direct communication with the Melt shop

• Make the yearly Budget

• Review the inventory records and issue purchase orders

• Maintain the plant history of Breakdowns and Troubles

• Gathers all process data and analyzes them

• Suggests the required process modifications

• Issue the ASP & Gases monthly report and attached it with the utility report

• Commitment to follow safety & environment precautions during his duty

• Ensures the compliance of the safety regulations

• Ensures the compliance of the adequate use of the personal safety equipment

• Optimize the process to decrease the cost

• Ensures the compliance of the quality parameters

• Ensures his personnel to keep the high productivity criteria

• Applies the internal working regulations (Discipline, holidays, overtime work, etc.)

• Facilitates the needed resources for the work

• Coordinates in implementing all maintenance programs: preventive and corrective

• Coordinate the activities linked with other areas

• Applies the safety and environmental regulations

• Communicate to all his personnel operating objectives and results

• Evaluate his personnel's performance

• Participates in meetings related to the process, quality and safety

• Gives feed back to the management

• Maintains and coordinates the training and updating programs for the personnel development

• Schedules and coordinates the equipment shut down along with the other areas for maintenance focused on key points

• Participates in the preparation of the scheduled shut down programs

• Equitably solves his personnel's problems

Pre-qualifications:

• Engineering Degree

• Five years of experience in the same field

• Fluent English language

• Computer Skills

• SAP
