Job Description

Job Title:

Aircraft Engine Technician (Line & Heavy Maintenance)

Role Overview:

Perform engine-related maintenance tasks on commercial aircrafts during both line and heavy maintenance operations. Works under the supervision of licensed engineers (B1 LAE) to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Line Maintenance

  • Conduct daily engine checks and visual inspections.
  • Perform troubleshooting and minor repairs on engines and accessories.
  • Assist with borescope inspections and on-wing diagnostics.
  • Replace line-replaceable units (LRUs) and engine components as per approved procedures.
  • Ensure proper documentation of tasks in maintenance logs.

Heavy (Base) Maintenance

  • Remove and install engines during major checks.
  • Perform detailed inspections of engine mounts, nacelles, and related systems.
  • Assist in engine module changes and accessory overhaul.
  • Support borescope inspections and hot section work.
  • Coordinate with engine shops for off-wing repairs and component replacements.
  • Maintain compliance with Part-145 procedures during heavy maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

  • Technical diploma or equivalent in Aircraft Maintenance or Powerplant Technology
  • OEM training on specific engine types (e.g. CFM56 Series, LEAP-1A / LEAP-1B, GE CF34 / CF6/ GE90 / GEnx).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in engine maintenance (line and/or heavy).
  • Familiarity with EASA Part-145 procedures and safety standards.
