About the Role:
We are hiring an experienced Aircraft Painter to join a professional maintenance and paint team in the UAE. This role involves surface preparation, painting, and finishing of aircraft to meet company, manufacturer, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare aircraft surfaces through sanding, cleaning, masking, and treating
- Mix and apply primers, paints, and finishes per technical specifications
- Use spray guns, air compressors, and sanding tools safely and effectively
- Inspect painted areas for consistency, finish quality, and perform touch-ups
- Follow safety guidelines for hazardous materials and the use of PPE
- Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, organised work area
- Keep accurate records of materials used and tasks completed
- Collaborate with other maintenance teams to meet deadlines
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of aircraft painting experience
- Knowledge of surface prep, application methods, and paint systems
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality focus
- English communication skills are essential
- Physically fit to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and tolerate paint environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- FAA A&P license or equivalent (not mandatory)
- Experience with composite materials or speciality coatings
- Previous MRO or aerospace industry experience
Working Conditions:
- Work in hangars and paint booths
- Exposure to fumes, noise, and chemicals (with PPE)
- May require shift work, weekends, and overtime
