Aluminium Detailer
Job Summary:
An Aluminium Detailer is responsible for cleaning, polishing, and restoring aluminium surfaces to achieve a high-quality finish. This role requires attention to detail, proper use of tools and chemicals, and a strong focus on safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean, polish, and detail aluminium surfaces to restore shine and remove oxidation, stains, and imperfections
- Use hand tools, power buffers, and polishing equipment safely and effectively
- Apply appropriate compounds, cleaners, and protective coatings
- Inspect finished surfaces to ensure quality standards are met
- Follow safety procedures when handling chemicals, tools, and equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Report damaged materials, equipment issues, or safety concerns to supervisors
- Meet productivity and quality expectations while maintaining attention to detail
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in aluminium polishing, detailing, or metal finishing preferred (training may be provided)
- Ability to use hand tools and power equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift materials, and perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Work Environment:
- Shop, manufacturing, or industrial setting
- Exposure to dust, noise, and cleaning chemicals (PPE provided)
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience with trucks, trailers, wheels, tanks, or industrial aluminium components
- Basic knowledge of surface preparation and metal finishing techniques
