We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support financial operations within our HoldCo structure. This role involves handling day-to-day accounting activities, assisting with financial reporting, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
You will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial information.
Principal Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger entries, cash transactions, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet, and ensure the accuracy of financial records
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
- Laise with the tax advisors for tax reporting (VAT, WHT, and any other)
- Prepare and analyze financial reports for internal stakeholders
- Process payments and maintain proper documentation
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and inquiries (internal & external)
- Support the business unit accounting team as required
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures
- Assist in updating and maintaining accounting and operational policies
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (knowledge of Access is a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to meet deadlines, especially during closing periods
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 13 years of relevant accounting experience
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and US GAAP
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus
