The IT Infrastructure Analyst ensures the reliability, security, and performance of the organization's IT infrastructure. This role involves analyzing infrastructure requirements, troubleshooting technical issues, implementing upgrades, and supporting business operations through efficient technology solutions.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments.
- Analyze system performance and recommend improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related incidents and service requests.
- Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
- Manage user access, security controls, and system compliance requirements.
- Perform system backups, disaster recovery testing, and business continuity planning.
- Coordinate infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and technology refresh projects.
- Work with vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and diagrams.
- Ensure infrastructure aligns with organizational security and governance policies.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration.
- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, switching).
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Microsoft.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and infrastructure security.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Experience with monitoring and backup tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or network administration (requirements vary by employer).
- Relevant certifications are often preferred, such as:
- Cisco CCNA
- Microsoft Azure Administrator
- Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect
- CompTIA Network+ or Security+
