We're looking for Analytical Chemistry Lab Head. He will provide overall leadership, strategic direction, and scientific oversight of the Analytical Chemistry Laboratory, ensuring regulatory compliance and advancing research and testing goals in line with organizational objectives.
Job description:
Laboratory Performance
Direct the overall performance of laboratory activities ensuring consistency, excellence, and, whenever applicable, compliance with ISO-IEC 17025/GLP requirements.
Approve and release laboratory procedures to control lab activities.
Manage laboratory resources effectively to ensure uninterrupted lab operation.
Preparation of internal quality control program to assure the proper control of technical processes and approve results to assure proper control of technical processes.
Approve equipment operation protocols, intermediate check procedures. Maintenance plan and approve their results and reports to guarantee harmonious equipment performance.
Approve environmental monitoring program and its results to affirm compliance with laboratory safety protocols and international regulations.
Laboratory Personnel
Direct the researchers by providing technical instructions, coaching, training, guidance, and authorizing performance of laboratory activities.
Monitor and Evaluate personnel competency results to improve excellence in their performance.
Assure researchers disciplinary act through managing attendance, overtime, rewards, and punishments according to NAWAH policies.
External Customers
Approve customers request to ensure test methods applicability and resources availability.
Provides correct and timely reports, responses, information, clarifications, and answers to customer inquiries to attain customer satisfaction.
External Suppliers and Services
Participate in service supplier selections and evaluation.
Approve purchasing requests including supplies specifications, approve technical quotations, and affirm compliance of received supplies to requested specifications.
Monitor laboratory financial performance including cost, revenue and adjust operations as necessary.
Review and plan Proficiency Test (PT) requirement and approve PT samples results.
Review and plan equipment external calibration needs, review calibration results compliance to laboratory procedure and international standards
Improvement
Optimize analysis running cost through rationalizing the use of laboratory resources or adopting new modern techniques with no effect on quality of test results.
Review and improve laboratory scope of analysis according to lab resources and NAWAH strategic plan.
Improve technical skills and knowledge of lab staff by providing references and external training
opportunities.
Stay up to date with Scientific updates/ regulatory requirements.
Sample Testing Activities
Approve selection, development, validation (modification) /verification protocols of testing methods and approve results as per international guidelines to ensure usage of reliable methods.
Establish Quality Control (QC) samples profile and approve QC results each run to provide reliable and scientifically valid test results and, whenever applicable, establish, maintain and improve a tracking system for stability studies.
Review and approval of lab results to confirm fulfillment of customer test request.
Approve, whenever applicable, final analysis report/ CoA of CRM products and results analysis including statements of conformity or opinions and interpretations of laboratory test results.
Contribute to designing mega scientific projects, implementation and preparation of periodical and final reports.
Job requirements:
Must-have
Bachelor's degree in relevant scientific specialty.
Diploma Degree, Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field.
At least 10 years of experience in Pharma industry or Stability Center.
Excellent command of both written and spoken in English.
Nice to have
Experience in ISO/IEC 17025 or ISO 17034 accreditation.
Experience in Laboratory Assessment.
