For one of our clients, we are looking for an Analytics Engineer (POC Lead) to bridge the gap between raw clinical data and regulatory intelligence. You will take ownership of the Silver to Gold transition transforming complex, versioned clinical records into high-performance point-in-time KPI models.
Key Responsibilities
- Semantic Modeling: Translate complex clinical business rules into clean, modular, and highly performable SQL models.
- Version-Controlled Logic: Implement all transformation logic using dbt, ensuring every calculation is managed through Git (with reproducible builds) to support auditability.
- Temporal Resolution: Develop Point-in-Time (PIT) views that correctly resolve temporal joins between event facts and versioned dimensions.
- BI Enablement: Deliver flattened, optimized Star Schema tables in the Gold layer, enabling BI developers to build dashboards without complex logic.
Requirements
- DBT Expertise (expert-level transformation development)
- Advanced Git workflow (branching, tagging, PR-based review practices, audit-ready reproducibility)
- Expert-level SQL, including:
- window functions
- complex joins
- advanced CTE patterns
- Dimensional Modeling & Star Schemas (strong practical understanding)
- Familiarity with orchestration workflows such as Airflow is a plus
