Role Description The AOV/MOV Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, overseeing the operation and maintenance of Automated and Motor-Operated Valves in energy-related facilities. This role typically involves planning and supervising valve testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure compliance with safety, reliability, and performance standards. The supervisor coordinates daily activities for technical teams, reviews maintenance reports, and ensures adherence to company procedures and regulatory requirements. They collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site personnel to schedule interventions, manage spare parts, and support commissioning or shutdown operations. The role also includes documenting work performed, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and promoting a strong safety culture in line with Capefront Energies values.
Qualifications
- Strong technical expertise in AOV/MOV systems, including operation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of automated and motor-operated valves.
- Experience supervising field teams in industrial or energy environments, with proven ability to coordinate on-site activities and prioritize tasks safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality procedures related to valve operations, commissioning, and maintenance in offshore or onshore projects.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and valve datasheets, and to prepare clear maintenance reports and documentation for stakeholders.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams and clients in a multicultural setting.
- Demonstrated focus on health, safety, and environmental practices, including adherence to company policies, risk assessments, and safe work procedures.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related engineering field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Previous experience in the energy sector (oil & gas, power generation, or related industries) and familiarity with offshore or onshore project environments is highly beneficial.
