AP Senior Accountant-Shared Service

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced AP Senior Accountant-Shared Service to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee the financial management of multiple construction projects, including cost control and progress billing, while ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and timely month-end closings. They will review subcontractor payments, payroll, and project forecasts to support strategic decision-making, and act as a key liaison between finance and project teams to optimize overall financial performance.

key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with EAS and IFRS
• Ensure accurate, timely month-end and year-end closings
• Maintain compliance with applicable financial laws, regulations, and internal policies

Project Financial Management

• Oversee financial management of multiple construction projects
• Monitor cost control, budgets, and progress billing
• Review project forecasts to identify risks and improvement opportunities

Audit & Internal Controls

• Coordinate and support external audits by preparing documentation and responding to queries
• Address audit findings and implement corrective actions
• Establish and monitor internal control systems to safeguard company assets

Financial Analysis & Decision Support

• Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance and trend analysis
• Provide clear financial reports, insights, and recommendations to management
• Support strategic planning through scenario and performance analysis

Payments, Payroll & Reconciliations

• Review subcontractor payments for accuracy and compliance
• Oversee payroll-related financial reviews and reconciliations
• Ensure proper recording of all financial transactions

Systems & Process Improvement

• Support accounting software implementation, maintenance, and optimization
• Collaborate with IT and internal teams to improve financial workflows and automation
• Contribute to special financial projects such as process improvements, system implementations, and M&A initiatives

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Act as a key liaison between finance and project teams
• Provide financial guidance to support operational and project-level decisions
• Ensure alignment between financial reporting and organizational objectives

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role (Shared Service).
• Previous experience in the construction industry is a plus
• IFRS Diploma is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Data Analysis & ERP system
• Strong time-management skills
